Combine the pampered luxury of mega-yacht cruising with the thrilling sensation of sailing aboard an authentic clipper ship. More like a sailing ship cast adrift from a period drama, the Royal Clipper offers guests the chance to discover what it was like to sail the high seas and call on intimate ports untouched by larger cruise ships.

Justly famed for its sparkling capital cities, ancient civilisations and cultured ambience, the Royal Clipper’s Mediterranean is a world of mythical and tranquil seas, soaring mountains, medieval villages and sun-warmed beaches.

You will set off from Rome’s port of Civitavecchia, then on to sun-drenched Sicily, through the wilds of Corfu in Greece, then a few days along Croatia's magical coast, before disembarking in Venice, Italy’s most romantic city. Put yourself in a magical place of ancient Roman ruins, idyllic ports and myth-making islands lost in time; where tall cypresses, olive groves and hilltop villages remind you of Italian hill towns and dancing waters are dotted with white sails (see full itinerary below).

Departing on 19 July 2008, the prize includes flights and transfers, courtesy of Fred Olsen Travel.
