Goldfish extra 6 months interest free

Just got off the phone to Goldfish. I'd called them to close my account as I recently finished my 6 months at 0% and wanted to free up some available credit for another card over the next month or two. I've recently been turned down for a couple of cards, probably due to too much stoozing too soon.
I was passed to the Customer Value Team, and was quite frank with them that I was leaving to take up an offer from one of their competitors.
Anyway, they just offered to do another 6 months at 0%, albeit leaving £50 credit in the account. That's another few thousand winging it's way to my Egg Card, for onwards transmission to my offset mortgage.
Woo hoo!
Is it meant to be THIS easy!!!!????
I didn't have the cheek to ask for a credit limit increase.

Well done!! Great news!:T
Might be worth phoning back to ask for a credit limit increase? They can only say no....If it was easy, everyone would do it!0 -

I'm assuming that would require a new credit search though, which would probably be shooting myself in the foot...?
I'm not unhappy with the existing credit limit. I'm not a greedy man, and suffice to say the existing one makes the exercise more than worthwhile.0 -

I'm not sure that it does require a credit search.....
I thought that they just looked at your account activity, but did not do a credit search.
Can anyone advise???If it was easy, everyone would do it!0 -
I'm only working from memory that when I asked another provider for an increase, they said it would involve a credit search, that's all. I declined I think.
And all my account activity shows is them giving me cash, me making minimum payments, and then one of their competitors clearing the balance for me.
Hardly their target customer I should think!0
