Possible ICICI Hi-Save problem

Options
I think I may have a problem with a money request from my linked account to my ICICI account. I requested a sum of money from my current account using the ICICI website on 28th February, and although my linked current account is still showing that the money hasn't left the account, the ICICI website shows that my balance has increased.

My ICICI online statement shows the following next to the sum of money:

ECS DD OUTWARD CLEARING

and is dated 03/03/08.

This doesn't seem right to me. Is this normal and what is ECS?

I hope someone can shed some light on the situation.

    My account is now showing:

    RVSL FOR TRF ON 030308

and the balance has now dropped to the previous amount before the transfer. I am getting quite annoyed with ICICI. In light of the interest drop, I am thinking about switching.

Can any one shed any light on what might be going on?

  • Reversal for transfer on 3rd March 2008 that probably means

ie, the transfer was probably successful but was reversed. I'd contact ICICI to find out why, and what you need to change

Hi Thanks for that. I had a feeling it was a reversal abbreviated, however wondered if there is a known circumstance under which this happens.

I emailed the "Account Manager" querying this. I am yet to receive a response. I have called today querying this and was told that there systems were down. (Strange that. Seems to be a recurring issue with ICICI)

I took the opportunity to ask what the response time should be to an email to the Account Manager. I was told this is 24hrs. Funnily enough they have exceeded 24hrs.

To be honest I'm getting a bit tired with ICICI. The number of times I have been unable to log into there website is starting to become a bit laughable. As are some of there feeble excuses. I think the rate drop might be the final nail for me.

From what I have read on this website Kaupthing seem to be quite customer orientated.
