Barcelona Accommodation Wanted

There will be 4 of us staying in Barcelona for 4 nights at the end of Oct.

I have looked at past threads and people have recommended

http://www.visit-bcn.com/

Has anyone stayed at any of the apartments and can recommend one in particular ?

Or any other accommo ideas for centre of town Ramblas / Gothic etc.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you in advance

We used this site when we went to Barcelona in Feb. You buy Bancotel vouchers for 50 euros each voucher & choose which hotel you would like from a list. It says on the list how many vouchers per night.
4 of us stayed for 5 nights in 2 double rooms. The price was 500 euros i.e 50 euros per room per night. We stayed at the Husa Oriente which was right in the centre of Las Ramblas and it was like a 4 star hotel. (Apparently Errol Flynn, Maria Callas etc have stayed there !!) There is a wonderful Art Deco dining room where you can have a buffet style breakfast.Breakfast wasn't included but there are loads of cafe's for croissants & chocolate (Yummy!!) The hotel room was excellent, spacious & clean. You will have to take your own stuff for a brew if you want one as the hotels in Spain don't provide kettles etc. I can't recommend Dicount25.com or the hotel Oriente enough We had a wonderful time.
Don't forget to visit the chocolate museum & have a cup of chocolate (very thick & sweet). On the way if you can find it (I don't remember the name of the street) there is a very old shop which makes Commedia del Arte Masks (fabulous)
Also the market is just up from the hotel. It's a great place full of fantastic sights, smells etc. Don't miss it.
For sightseeing, walk to the square at the top of Las Ramblas & take a ride on the Bus Turistic, a circular tour of all the tourist places. The red route goes north to south & blue route goes vice versa. You can hop on & off along the route wherever you want. Good for deciding which places you want to spend more time at.
    Have a great holiday!!

There's no availability for the dates I am going to that hotel, but I will maybe use that site for other holidays.

Thank for the chocolate museum tip, my mouth is watering already thinking about it
