I have just been perusing the T&C for TalkTalk which have been updated recently to take into account line rental.A few things struck me about them.
1.You can still use the 1280 overide but Talk Talk will bill you for the call at the current BT daytime opt1 rate,or at whatever price they choose to impose. So if you were calling an 0870 cheap intl access code at the weekend,TT barred it and you used the overide you would pay at least peak rate for the call.
2.If you take your existing phone line rental over to them from BT or another supplier, you must stay for 3 months, and if say you take the line rental back to another supplier after 3 months but still want to cps your calls to them. They reserve the right to increase the cost of your call package.
3.If you take a completely new line out with them. There is a minimum term of One Year!!!
All the more reason to keep your line rental with BT i would suggest.

Can I just add that their t&c have a similar clause to OneTel's and that is:-
Therefore, it appears that both OneTel & TalkTalk can (if they wish) to block use of indirect access codes or charge you a higher fee.3.13 If you are an LR Services customer and elect to use another provider for some or all of your calls we may at our sole discretion decide to: (i) cancel your calls order with the provider concerned (ii) bar your use of indirect access codes, (iii) charge you a higher fee for your use of the LR Service or (iv) disconnect the LR Service.
Also, anyone who uses TT as their Line Rental supplier even after the 3months minimum term may be subject to an admin fee of £18 if you disconnect your line rental or transfer to another supplier.
I would advise anyone considering moving to fully read the t&c.0
