Hi all,
Got a letter today from A&L telling me they were changing my APR to 18.9% from 15.9%.
Anyone else get this? Tried calling them to see why, but their systems were down.
I also have a excellent credit rating, and usually pay the balance on this (if any) every month, so does not really affect me, however I sometimes like to spread large buys over a few months, so the interest rate matters.
Just a money making exercise?? Which would be strange as increasing the rate would make me make sure I diddn't roll over a balance :rolleyes:

Update :
Got through to them to ask them why, was told that all account rates are reviewed on a 6-month basis. I told them that did not answer the question, and was told that - "There was a crisis you know! (I told them that I didn't have a crisis! hehe) and they do their best to keep rates down", They then agreed to revert to the old interest rate of 15.90
