Temporary insurance to drive new car home?
Hi,
I have only been living in the UK for 6 months, so I am not yet fully aware of how everything works here regarding motoring Issues.
I am currently in the process of buying a used car for my wife. Unfortunately the car is located quite a distance away. How can I legally get the car from the point of purchase to my home? I cannot transfer my Insurance, as we will use that car to drive up there.
Is it possible to buy temporary insurance, i.e. for a day or two?

I googled for temporary car insurance.

Give you insurance company a ring to temprarliy add a vehicle to your policy. We used to do this for policyholders for the exact same reason as what you need it for.:A

If you're buying it as an additional car it's going to need to be insured anyway so why not just get a proper policy on it?0
