Npower - If your gas bill has been replaced, is it at the correct unit price?
Npower switched from a fixed gas rate to regionalised pricing.
However, they updated their automatic billing but not their bill replacement procedures.
So, if your bill was incorrect and had to be manualy replaced by their billing teams - check your unit prices.
Why?
Apparently, Npower's current billing system (which they moved all their other customers into from old region databases) has always been set to London prices for manual replacements.
So, if London is more expensive for you now and you live in any other area, your manually replaced bill may be at the higher rate.
It's been going on since 05/01/2008 so just be wary.
They say they will re-issue the bills to the correct prices but it's worth watching just incase.
