Creative Brief
Crowdsourcing is a cutting-edge, conceptual business book grown from a concept first coined by Jeff Howe in WIRED magazine describing the way in which the internet has broken down traditional employer/employee relationships to create vibrant new enterprises that are ’staffed’ by informal, often large gatherings of enthusiasts. For more information about the crowdsourcing phenomenon, check out Jeff’s blog.
With the book set to generate an impact comparable to similar genre bestsellers The Wisdom of Crowds by James Surowiecki, The Long Tail by Chris Anderson, and Blink by Malcolm Gladwell, the design competition is your chance to share your visual interpretation of the crowdsourcing concept and play a leading part in moulding the publication of the book.
We are seeking a striking, iconic book jacket design which should engage on the strength of its concept and composition rather than rely on finishes and production values.
The cover design should be bold, dynamic and eye-catching and should sit as comfortably on shelves at your local high street book shop as it would as a thumbnail image on Amazon.
