  • Not heard of either of these guys before. Looks like swiftcover have only been trading for a matter of weeks.

Just input my own details on the swiftcover site out of interest. The initial quote seemed quite reasonable, but then the add-ons hiked up the price considerably. Personal accident benefits were an extra - often standard in comprehensive cover by other insurers. Protected NCD, legal expenses and recovery seemed quite pricey.

Would be interested to hear if anyone has used them yet (and in particular made a claim) and what their experience has been.

I can't get the link to the motorcycle insurer to work!!

Thank you so much, my insurance is due next month and I have just saved £60, I now pay a modest £116 for a Clio Fully Comp, with 5 yrs NCD. The AA quoted me £164, which I thought was ok til today. Thanks

    Swiftcover is FAB!

Even adding the extras on I've just knocked more than £130 off my renewal and more than £25 off my best quote elsewhere. Bring it on Swiftcover!

Swiftcover just wouldn’t cover me, no points but obviously outside of their underwriting criteria…oh well.
Has anyone else noticed their table of charges for actually talking to them or for cancelling? I got caught out on this with Elephant, they charged me £45 for cancelling a policy mid term. Should have read the small print I suppose, but still pretty dear I thought.

Just a quick note - I've just posted a new thread about A-plan insurance who proved to be really cheap.
Seen this post so checked out Swift and they come in cheaper than A-plan by £18 so went back to A-plan and they beat it..... I started with quotes for around £400/500 and finally got my insurance starting tomorrow for £280!
