Bob the Builder can fix the 'Big Freeze' ahead. Final call for entries in Project: Renovate.
A very cold start is widely predicted for 2008 with the appearance of snow already in many parts of the UK. With this in mind, Bob the Builder is offering help to keep the nation feeling warmer this Winter.
Nurseries and pre-schools across the UK have until January 31st to win funding for the ultimate Eco-Makeover, made available from a pioneering campaign led by Bob the Builder where parents with pre-school children can also win free insulation!
Project: Renovate was launched last year with the aim of helping young children learn about the importance of energy efficiency and the environment.
Twelve OFSTED or local authority registered nurseries are being offered Eco-Makeovers worth up to £60,000. Bob the Builder's partners, https://www.thinkinsulation.com and Travis Perkins, will renovate an indoor or outdoor space to create a 'greener' environment for each nursery, which could mean a new roof to keep the heat in, a new recycling space or improving the playground.
And as an added incentive, https://www.thinkinsulation.com is offering parents with pre-school children the chance to apply for their own competition - to win loft and cavity wall insulation to keep homes warm. Details are available online at https://www.thinkinsulation.com/bob.
Project: Renovate is about capturing children's attention at a young age on the important issue of protecting the environment and teaching them about their impact on the world around them. It's an opportunity for parents, children and the local community to work together on a fun, fresh and socially responsible project.
Not only will the winners be rewarded with a new ecologically-friendly learning environment, each winning nursery will also receive a visit from Bob himself! Once the renovation has been completed a family day will take place on a Sunday at each nursery for parents to see the brand new changes that have been made.
Details on how to apply for Project: Renovate are available at https://www.projectrenovate.com. Can Bob fix it? Yes he can!
Bob the BuilderTM is giving away prizes galore this January. As well as offering funding to nurseries and home insulation to parents, he is giving away 50 copies of his brand new DVD, Bob The BuilderTM Roads and Bridges, which will be out in the shops on the 25th February.
The DVD sees, for the first time ever, Bob going on site! You can join Bob and his Can-Do crew as they explore real life construction sites. See diggers, mixers and trucks work together to build roads and bridges.
From the first foundations and at every step along the way, Bob the BuilderTM and some fun new friends show you the exciting world of big machines!
