Sony DcrDvd92 Handycam

Was looking for the new sony dvd handycam as seen on tv recently, went into Jessops who was selling this for £499. Sony shop was £449 but you can get this for £345 from https://www.unbeatable.co.uk inc postage!. Unbeatable site shows it at £387 but if you phone them and say that https://www.totaldigital.co.uk are selling it for£349 they will price match and beat it.
I got one yesterday and have to say it is fantastic. One word of warning though is it does not come with a disc but you can get a spindle of 25 from https://www.svp.co.uk for around £8. Sony charge that for just one of their dvd-rw discs.
Don't know how long this price will last, i think sony are eager to get thse into the market place so have allowed a few places to sell cheap.

Good luck

Actually if you walk into Jessops with a print out of your best price they will match that, even though they don't advertise that they do so, which is better because you get the security of them being a chain of high street shops.

They only match UK companies though.

are you sure the match internet prices? If so, I'll try and get one of the bargain boots cameras there!

They do price match on most things but not always, possible if the price is so different.

I went to jessops to get them to priced match (Windsor Berkshire branch) with the print but the manager just moaned about internet sites are going to be the death of high street shops. He phoned head office and the best they could do was drop the price to £420! One has to think if they can just knock off £80 and still make a profit then all sympathy for them goes out the window as they are just ripping people off.
I do understand to some degree but in the end its just technology advancing and we all have to move with the times. (that said Jessops have an internet shop anyway!!!!!!)

Remind people that profit is the difference between revenue and expense. This makes you look smart

My cannon A70 was bought from Jessops almoast 2 years ago, they had it in the shop for £298 but they matched to £217. I bought my Epson R300 from them as well after they pricematched.

must have just been the obnoxious manager at the Windor branch then. I also went into the Sony shop in Windsor but they reckon the internet sites are not making any profit!!!
Me thinks they would not be in business if they made no profit.
I would recommend https://www.unbeatable.co.uk as you can pick up your items free from their office in Crawley if you live in the south. They seemed very professional to me.

Yes I have, not a camera but one of their dvd players (is it starlogic). Got it for my Dad. Bought in Lancaster deliver to London. First one was faulty, got a printable returns label from them, mailed to pater - which he posted. They dispatched a new one before receiving the faulty one. Mailed me when they got the faulty one and reimbursed the postage - so no problem there, you must have been unlucky I guess.
