Rock stars, as Hollywood is discovering, make fantastic blockbuster material. Enshrined in the trajectory of a rock icon’s life are all the ingredients for storyline perfection: sex, drugs, rise and fall, myth and martyrdom, vanity and vomit. Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Ian Curtis and John Denver (seminal straight-to-TV flick Take Me Home: The John Denver Story) have all been given the biopic once-over in the last few years.
And now, it’s Dewey Cox’s turn. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is a spoof tribute to an American rock icon, charting his ascent from poverty-stricken Alabama chubster to national superstar, his bouts in rehab, the debauched highs one minute (at one point there’s a m!nage-à-ten) and the soul-crushing nadirs the next (see his adverts promoting his own brand of hickory-smoked sausages which “taste of Cox”). Then there’s the drugs and sex. Throughout the film, Dewey (played by John C Reilly) graduates from booze to marijuana to cocaine then on to LSD and Viagra, while he sleeps with 411 women, has a sordid affair with his backing singer and sires 22 children. A hilarious homage to rock’n’roll bad behaviour, Walk Hard: The Life of Dewey Cox hits cinemas on January 18. To view the trailer and find out more about the film, head to https://www.walkhard.co.uk

Hi $ADZ$ – sorry, I think this has already been posted here
I found it by a search for 'fhm.com' - If you need a hand with how the search works then try this thread by divadee - if you need any more help then just yell out in the Competitions Discussion Thread Part 3
For compers who want to enter - make sure you check the ‘Thanks’ button on the original post to ensure you are not about to enter a comp more times than the T & C allow & disqualify yourself!
Merge request sent to divadeeSad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
