Hi I'm on the lookout for an 80G Ipod Classic. The price on apple.com is 159.99 and I wondered if any one knew of any better prices or offers available at the moment also taking into account the warranty?
Thanks in advance

we got one a couple of weeks ago from a Amazon marketplace seller for about £143 including delivery - that was the cheapest at the time and they sent it out special delivery within 24 hours. Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

John Lewis in store has them for about £142 earlier today. Not online though.0

I got mine on Amazon back in October for £145, including a free Griffin iTrip. Sadly, it went to the Big Apple in the sky on Christmas Eve (totally locked up, completely frozen, won't reset, iTunes doesn't recognise it etc.) so I'm taking it to the nearest iPod service centre asap. Apparently they're quite good about replacing/servicing iPods, but that's not really the point is it? I've had it a mere 2 months, and it's not even had heavy use! I'd understand if I'd bought a Lidl MePod or something (no offence Lidl), but this is Apple for chrissakes! iPods are known for being notoriously unreliable, so it may be worth looking at Creative or Sony for alternatives. Unfortunately, don't think any of the rivals have released anything near a 80GB yet.
Anyway, rant over. In support of iPods - they look great, the customer service is (allegedly) good, and the memory and batterly life is fantastic. Don't forget to buy through Quidco if you can too.0 -
Try John Lewis, online they were 149.99 before xmas and there was some £10 codes floating around on this forum too. They have always been great when i have used them.0

It might pay for you to hold on for a few more weeks as later this month is the macworld expo which is where/when most of apples new products are announced, so they may well announce a new range (ie capacity) of ipods, meaning that the 80GB ones might get a bit cheaper. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30

Just ordered mine from John Lewis - there's a £20.00 off £100.00 code which brings it to £139.00 plus quidco which brings it to the nice price of £134.23 :j2019 Wins: Feb: £10 Aldi Voucher, Frankie & Benny's meal for 2; May: Game from Maynards. June: 2x tickets to Foodies Festival July: £100 September: £30; October: £1000, Goldfinch Merch Pack
