Anyone Booked a Holiday via Clubcard deals?

Hi people,

I have been saving my Tesco Clubcard vouchers for ages and have now got quite a lots. I can see if the Deals booklet that if you spend them on holidays etc you get 4x their value.

Has anyone booked and paid for a holiday in this way? Also, are any special offers able to be used in conjunction with the clubcard deals- eg can early booking discounts still be used or free nights offers?

I am trying to decide whether or not to use my vouchers for a holiday and am interested in others who have used the scheme and their opinions.

Thanks, Sarah.

I would still pick the holiday you want and then get a price both from clubcard and agents and see what works out the best deal.
Then try and work out if it would be best to wait for a late deal or infact if they can be used on late deals.
Does it say who supplies the holidays?
I did notice that Tesco deal allot with Lastminute.com so if thats the case you would probably get a good deal
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

I have booked twice with tesco vouchers for holidays with French Life...I only know the holiday had to add up to £500 to use our vouchers so we did lots of upgrading and added disneyland tickets into the deal to make the holiday up to £500 and then we paid the whole holiday with vouchers so it hasn't cost us anything...
Good Luck and it's well worth using them if you have saved enough

We booked a trip to france earlier this year and the tour op allowed all the usual discounts etc - I just paid for it in 'deals' (minimum £500 spend) - I'd contact any of the operators who's holidays you're interested in and ask them. Probably would be best to select a holiday call direct and price it with deals, and then call another agent and price the same holiday normally. It's the only way you'll know for sure if it's a bargain. We were delighted with the bargain we had.
By the way, when you've exchanged your vouchers you've actually got 6 months to use them, and you don't have to use them for the deal you exchanged them for but for any that are currently offered.

We booked to go to Spain with Camping Life (part of French Life). As they had a 50% off offer the vouchers were effectively 8 x face value compared to brochure price. Had to upgrade to a decent mobile home etc to try and spend enough money! All in all a fantastic deal.

Thanks for your replies. Rustyjames- what time of year was the 50% offer off, it's good that they let you take advantage of that offer even while paying with Clubcard points.

If anyone else has any more Clubcard holiday experiences please do post.

The offer was under their Special Offers page on the website. It doesn't seem to be there now, but there are other offers. I've not checked how good they are. We booked quite a while back, and are travelling end June / start July.

We booked our whole summer holiday last year using Tesco Clubcard Deals. Cost came to nearly £3500. No problems at all.

  • Another option is to convert your tesco points into BA Miles. A nice way of building up BA Miles for free flights.
