My Debt Diary!

Well after a few months on MSE i have decided to write my debt diary mainly for myself to look back on when i am debt free to show myself how far i have come. I will post on here anything i pay off and also How much i spend each day on general items that aint budgeted for.

My SOA

Child Tax credit - £81.72pw/£326.88pm (4weeks)
Jobseekers - £95pw/£370.00pm (4weeks) - we do get this every 2 weeks of £185.00
I also get Child Benifit every 4 weeks £120.80 but i have not counted this as it all goes towards my rent.

Debts (as of this months statements)

Next - £358.50
02 - £100.00 (in arrears)
Littlewoods - £139.16
Oh's Littlewoods - £311.94 (he missed payments and they wouldnt let him pay £40 a month so has now gone to a debt collector where we will be able to pay £40 a month
Oh's Lolyds O/D - £371.64 (we havent payed anything of this and they keep adding charges
Virgin Media Debt (from previous house) - £136.94 this is with a debt collector and i pay £34.00 every 2 weeks
Capital one - £571.03 I pay minium payment which this month is £120.00
Moorcroft (orange phone bill) - £100.00 (it was £250 last week but had to pay £150 off to stop them bringing someone to my home)
O/D - £700 (old bank account going to start paying £50 a month when all my money goes into my new account)
O/D - £100 on new account :$

I do not know any APR's on any debt.

Total Debt (if iam correct) is £2868.18

Household

Rent - £575.00pm (we get £370.00pm paid, i use £120.00 child benifit to cover rest and so im left with £85.00 to pay out of my income above, we start paying rent March 8th as we have paid 6months rent upfront and it ends on that day if that makes sense)
Tv licenece - £35.14 (every quarter)
Water - £13.36pm
Gas - £15.00pm (just changed supplier it was £20pm)
Electric £15.00pm (same as above)
Contents Insurance - £11.27pm (changed company use to be £18pm)
Phone/Internet/Tv - £100pm (an estitmate as £100 its higest it ever been due to family living abroad.
02 contract - £35pm (when we get out of arrears)

Total - £201.34 ( i divided tv licence by 3)

so i should have left over £495.54 after household bills come out

I will be paying the 02 arrears and the moorcroft off on the 7th January. I get paid tomo child benifit and il be paying min payment on next and tv licence due on 2nd so i wont be spending any of the £120.80 i get tomo if i can help it. I was due to pay Virgin debt tomorrow..but cant afford as it will leave me with 13pound till the 7th January.

I need to start saving for my holiday in april (just need spending money of around £400 for all of us)

I really need help in someone pointing me in right direction as i dont have a clue how to pay all my debts as well as paying somemore off a debt here and there. and also start saving for my holiday.

My aim for 2008

1) Start the grocery challenge every month and try and get bill down to £100 a month for all 4 of us.
2) Keep up with my sealed pot challenge
3) Pay off all my debts
4) Start some more challenges
5) Try some more own brand foods
6) Quit smoking
7) Use quidco alot more
8) do daily clicks

Thanks for reading and i hope this doesnt get boring for you, but as i said its more for me really so i can look back and see what i have achieved.

two people off the stop smoking forum sent me a book each.. i have kept the paul mckenna (cant spell it) book and my mum has took the other to borrow so going to start reading that. I have 600 cigs left till i stop smoking lol my mum bought them over and gave them me for xmas so at mo my cogs are free, which is one of reasons why i am going to stop because at the mo iam saving so much money and i will be able to see how much i will save when i do quit the cigs.

Well done on getting everything written out in black and white. Now you need a touch of financial OCD and you're all set for the new year. Bet you're addicted already, though LOL Good luck, we're all behind you on this.
