In the enviable position that I have sold my house and have not yet found one to buy so I am moving out to rent short term.
Any advice on what to do with £50K for a short term safe investment to get the best return given that i also will need to get access to it quickly
I have been on the main site and clocked the Alliance and Leicester instant access account at 5.35%. I am also a lower rate tax payer

Hi
Worth putting 30k in premium bonds? No interest paid but a good chance of winning some more money! And then find highest interest account for other £20k!

Hi,
i'm new to all this so please bear with me.
I will shortly be inheriting a lump sum, 20K plus, and would like to invest for a least a 6 months with no access. May even not want to touch it for a year.
any advice greatly appreciated!
thanks in advance! :j

Welcome!
Why do you think that advice for £20K will be different from the one for £50K?
