Oooh loving this thread already, might get my OH to do stuff like this since he never does much lol!

How about cleaning the inside windows? Cleaning curtains if that involves a trip to the launderette too (mine don't as they're small enough to fit in the washing machine)

Tidying out garage/garden shed if you have one.

Any Painting/decorating that needs doing (not sure how you'd determine when/what rooms needed doing though)

Cant think of anymore at the moment but will have a think and may come back

    9. Checking/clearing the external drains/putting bleach down if appropriate
    10. Painting exterior woodwork (every 2-3 years? some 4-5 years)
    11. Clearing leaves/rubbish blown around entrance doors, even if the garden can be left (as appropriate during autumn/winter)
    12. Oiling window catches/door locks/gate hinges/hinges etc (1x a year)

Splendid idea to ask everyone, MoneyQueen! You'll have a task list as long as your arm in no time. What about de-frosting and re-inventorizing the freezer once a year? Can be useful if you have a big freezer. I also have a special 'cobweb session' every 3 months, where the hunt is on for those cobwebs you don't spot in routine cleaning.

Question. If I said something like:- "Servicing only when & where you require it". .... would I be banned, or worse? :(

If so, I didn't say a word ...... (no suitable emoticon as response unknown).

    We have a simple rule:-

If I cook, he washes up.

If he cooks, he washes up.

this certainly reminds me of what I was told years ago re the division of labour in the domestic sphere...

SHE gets everything that can't wait and has to be done NOW

HE gets everything that can wait and can always be done LATER....!
