leaky new shower door

Options
bought a shower door from a local batrhroom specialist in a sale, i have now got around to installing it and it leaks like a hosepipe. I have got water gushing everywhere from the bottom of the door.
It is a sliding door and there are no signs of a seal at the bottom.
can i go back to the shop as i have fitted it myself but the goods seem very unfit for their purpose. this will mean alot of extra work to install a new one, any advice please.

I would suggest your first move would be to go back to the shjop and tell them the problem................prehaps the seal for the bottom was not in the box etc......see what they say,but yes you can, even if you've fitted it yourself ,take it back if it's no good.(some time limits apply of course as you need to tell them there's a problem within a reasonable time)

any problems contact your trading standards office and they can advice you on your next move if the shop won't play ball.

    but contact the shop first:D

thats what i will do but not to sure what to ask for. the shower does not look like it should have a seal as it is the double sliding door type, Its gonna make a mess if i take it out and fit another one( as well as time i no longer have).

    cheers.

I don't suppose you can take a pic of the door in situe so we can see what type it is ...........or find one on the web:confused:

Apologies everyone ...still learning my way around this site.
Anyway.....my problem is a long crack..a neglected "fine crack" around the shower tray. Started up a few inches long from a dropped shampoo bottle and it just seems to get longer and longer. Its very unsightly and even more so since the shower stray is an ivory collar. Someone did suggest a "bath doctor" but would dread to think what he would charge! I am sure this has happened to many. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!
