E: 12/12 Win up to 7 prizes from a £25,000 prize fund (Independent Xmas Giveaway)

There are 7 sets of 4 prizes. All have now been revealed.

We weren't sure what the e-mail entry rules were so I e-mailed the Independent and got this reply:

You may enter once for each daily set of 4 prizes via e mail, and as many times as you like via text. You need 4 passwords to enter for each prize.

This still leaves some room for interpretation however. Does it mean I can enter three times for XBOX, once for Monday's set of 4 prizes, once for Thursday's set and once for Saturday's? Or should I choose a unique prize for each day's set?

I think it's probably safest if you don't try and enter for the same codeword (e.g. XBOX) more than once. It is a matter of personal opinion but that's what I'll be doing. Also, if you want to be ultra-cautious, you could use a different combination of 4 paswords for each entry.

How to enter

Simply collect four out of the seven passwords that will appear in The Independent and Independent on Sunday between Monday 3 December and Sunday 9 December. Email your passwords along with your name, address and contact number to christmas@independent.co.uk, stating which competition you are entering (e.g. ‘Champneys’) in the subject box.

Alternatively text INDY followed by a space, the competition name, your four passwords and a space in-between each one and then your name to 84010. Please note that lines open from midnight Wednesday 5 December.

Terms & conditions

1. Entries must be received by Wednesday 12 December.
2. Winners will be picked at random and notified by telephone by Friday 14 December.
3. Only one entry per e-mail address.
4. No purchase necessary.
5. Texts cost £1 plus your usual network charge. Competition closes Wednesday 12 December 2007 and if you text in after this time then you will not be entered but you may be charged.
6. The editor's decision is final.

DISCLAIMER: Please note that I have guessed the prize codewords in every instance. The Independent has not specified exactly what they are. Most of them are pretty obvious but I have doubts over a few. XBOX could just as easily be XBOX360, VITAAUDIO could be VITA, THEATRETOKENS could be THEATRE and COMET could be IPOD. You'll need to have seen a copy of the newspaper if you want to make your own judgement on these.
