Hi,
Didn't understand what they gain if someone join their Money manager.0 -
I tend to agree, so when I set it up, it was with a 'dummy' account (actually A&L - which had £5 in it). They still paid the £10 bonus as it was then.0

Someone else recently posted 2 good reasons for NOT signing up for this offer...
1/ Egg will/may be able to access this information, and see possible "trends" in cashflow which you might want to keep from them!
2/ If you do all your dealing through Egg, you may miss special offers on the other providers' websites.
I'll add another...
3/ If you're stoozing (as I am), is an extra £10/15 that important? It's not for me, due to reasons 1 & 2 above.0 -

I don't think egg can access your information, the tool only runs on your PC using a password safe stored on your PC, none of your accounts are routed through egg servers.YorkshireBoy wrote:I'll add another...

For stoozing egg money manager is a dream tool, to enable you to check all your credit cards, savings account & current accounts (for routing stoozed cash) & for stoozing accounts/cards in your partners name. Made it a lot easier for me anyway, & the £10 was a nice bonus.Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -

It's still worth doing, to avoid this you can add a dormant/low usage account (if you have one), and remove it as soon as the £10 is credited.
I added an old £200 limit credit card to mine, will remove it as soon as the £10 is credited.0 -
I take the point that Egg can 'log' which other sites you visit - but not what you do there. They can also log [quite obviously] when you are using a great deal of the accounts you hold with Egg [why wouldn't they?]
As to what Egg knows about which accounts you hold - I don't think all non-egg account details are actually held on your PC - despite what it says about there being a secure 'digital safe' placed on your PC which holds all the info there.
That said, I like using EMM and don't really mind what I think Egg knows about me......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
Blimey, I'm definitely in the minority here! - I'll get me coat

That's because most people here can't resist a free tenner!0 -
There is also the possibility that you are breaking the TOS of your other card holders by accessing your accounts in this way and therefore may not be covered against fraud/theft etc.0
