I'd recommend Mastercard if you're interested in buying any tickets for World Cup 2006!The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions belong to me; the distinction is yours to draw...0

Wow that's quick!
I think deep down everybody knew that it would be overturned, but not as soon as that.
Well done to Which! The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions belong to me; the distinction is yours to draw...0 -
Still these replies did not answered Andykolo's question. What is the difference between master card and visa?
In the beginning mastercard was a charge card and visa was a credit card.Mastercard offered less protection for consumers. But are they still apply?0 -
I'd appreciate a bit of insight on this. As far as I'm aware everywhere in the UK that accepts MC accepts Visa and vice versa, but that it's not the case around the world. I'd love to know which countries are more MC friendly and which are more Visa friendly so I can advise my customers accordingly!0

From the Mastercard website:
"In 2004, MasterCard GDV (Gross Dollar Value) reached $1.5 trillion, a 10.6% increase from the previous year. GDV includes both purchase and cash volume.
MasterCard's more than 23,000 customer financial institutions around the world issued 679.5 million MasterCard-branded cards in 2004, an 8.6% increase over 2003.
Worldwide purchase volume reached $1 trillion by the end of 2004, a 12.4% increase from the previous year.
MasterCard cardholders can use their cards at 24.6 million acceptance locations around the world, including over 1 million ATMs and other locations where cash can be obtained. "
However Visa claim "The number one payment card used by people around the world" (Visa website). In terms of regional break down I'm sure there have been studies done, but where, I don't know."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
I am from a country where the only card accepted is VISA, forget mastercard and company.Life should not be taken seriously, as no one would get out alive0
