Primus - Penny Mobile 2 add-on

Options
Hi

Is the penny mobile 2 add-on for new customers only? If not, do I just call them up and ask for it? I'm on Saver Option 2. I assume it's free?

Thanks

Yes. Phone them up and ask them to add it. I did and it works fine (including diverting calls to my mobile using BT's Caller Divert Calling Feature).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • Ohhh, thanks. That will save we loads because I'm too lazy to use 18185 etc. Can you hang up and re-dial to get another 20min for 20p?

Yes, just like hanging up on an 89 minute evening or weekend UK 01/02 call via Primus.

  • Hmm, I've just phoned up about this and now I'm a bit worried  Rather than an add on they wanted to change me to the mobile saver 2 plan (I think that's what she called it). I said I wanted to stay on saver option 2, just with this added. She said I keep all the benefits of saver option 2, and it's still free, but she has to move my plan. Does that sound right???

PM me an e-mail address and I'll send you Primus's PDF about Penny Mobile 2 (unfortunately, it's not accessible from their website).

Then, if necessary, you can quote their own document to them.

You could ask them for a URL of the Mobile Saver Plan too (I can't find it on their site).

  • Thanks for the email Heinz :) Looking at the document you emailed it looks like I'm moving to the "Penny Mobile 2" plan which is the same as Saver Option 2, but with the mobile bit added. I don't think the penny mobile 2 is an "add on" as such, it is a different plan. Thanks for your help :)

I think they've confused themselves with plans with similar names.
