£10 off a £30 spend at ebuyer

Options
30 October 2007
What's the deal?

To promote its web payment service, Checkout, Google is again offering new checkout users £10 off any £30 spend at techie retailer Ebuyer (it did this with a range of retailers, including Ebuyer when it first launched the deal).

Google Checkout purports to make paying for things online quicker, by centrally storing your payment details so you needn't enter them every time you buy something. Where the service is available, you'll only need to click the Google Checkout button and enter your login details to pay.

How/where can I get the discount?

To get the money off, you'll first need to sign up for the service at Google Checkout. Then, when you spend over £30 (excluding shipping) with Ebuyer.com, select to pay by Google Checkout. The £10 discount will be applied to your order.

The is valid until 5 November and isn’t valid if you’ve already taken part in a Google Checkout ‘spend £30 and save £10’ promotion.

Anything else I should know?

Google Checkout uses the same login details as other services, but since it stores your card details, ensure that you have an adequately safe password if you intend to use it.

PS. This deal was originally spotted by MoneySaver startrecker below. Thanks for the top spot! This post has been inserted to provide a researched and more detailed explanation for MoneySavers coming from the weekly e-mail

Only for new Google Checkout customers by the look of it. Good deal if you missed it last time though.
    Terms and Conditions
To take advantage of this offer, sign up with Google Checkout and make a purchase over £30 (excluding delivery), before 5pm Monday November 5th.
    The following conditions apply:
    1. Offer applies to purchases over £30 (before delivery) including any other discounts during the offer period.
    2. Customers who have already received a £10 checkout discount will NOT be elligible.

Google Checkout is completely safe. We have been using it on our site for a while now and never had any problems. Fingers crossed they will tap into Paypals customer base and get them using Google instead as Paypal are rubbish.
  • It's not only for new google account holders, it's also for existing account because I used google checkout yesterday and got £10 off and I've had an account for about 6 months now... And I've had monies off from google before.

    Hope this helps.

  • Existing Goolge Checkout customers WILL get the £10 discount if they did NOT buy from Ebuyer with the £10 discount that was offered earlier this year! i.e. If you never had a £10 discount with Ebuyer before - you can do so once now.

    Fill yer boots!

Martin, can you confirm this - we just tried it - and maybe change the post slightly to show this.
I say barkeep -put at little more ice in there will you - theres a good chap. :)
  • HUKD has a post mentioning if you use a different debit card or credit card to the last time you got the £10 off £30 ebuyer discount it should work for you again just with different card details.
