Run Out of Ideas!!

Please help, I have decided to do HM hampers for the girls in the family (mum, sisters, sis in law, nans, friends and neighbours).
So far I have got on the list to go in: -
Flavoured Vodka - individual flavours for each
HM Shortbread
HM Truffles
HM Fudge
HM Raspberry Jam
HM Chilli Jam
HM Chilli Roasted Cashews
I have now run out of things to put in and some of these things will not go in all of them (i.e. chilli stuff will not go to nans or neighbours).
I am alright in the kitchen so any ideas that you think would go down well would be much appreciated. I was thinking Pate but I think only my mum would appreciate it.

How about HM coconut ice or peppermint creams. Also pickled onions?0

Why not get some cheap plastic Christmas chocolate molds 50p - £1, and melt some nice chocolate into them0

Cookies of course!
Preferably ginger ones or orange spice

Chutney ! easy to make out of cheap/reduced fruit and veg, also something you can make with gentler flavours rather than chilli. Cheesey biscuits ? with herbs ? could make ahead and freeze the mixture in logs ready to be defrosted sliced and baked just before needed." Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0

Is there a thin line between food 'hampers' and food 'parcels' ? My partnts did a food hamper (fh?) for my mil which looked SO like a food parcel.
How do you prevent offence being caused?

I think the difference is in the use of a theme and also the packaging used.
A *food parcel* to me suggests a box full of odds and ends all thrown in together and given to someone needy. A *hamper* conjurs up images of a themed set of gifts, or perhaps luxury (or hard-to-find) items ... and it also makes me think of cellophane and ribbon, lol.

so, a large cardboard box, with spam, small tins of bean, tea bags, pate, pasta, etc etc etc would constitute what....
i'm so annoyed with my parents for doing this.....0 -
Noooo - that is indeed a food hamper, the likes of which are given to the needy!
I don't know why they did that ... perhaps they thought it'd save you a week's food money? Was it food you particularly like?

perhaps explain to mil that your parents had tried to make a hamper for her. To be honest i would have enjoyed receiving a present like that, at the end of the day the good intention was there and it was only the presentation that was lacking0
