Hip pack Question

I know there has been a number of discussions on the hip packs and as we have been on the market since May, we will not need one until the end of December, but could some one please tell me does the hip pack have to contain Energy Performance Certificate and Home Condition Report.

I found the site below and wonder if the pack has to contain both?

  • It has to contain an Energy Performance Certificate but the Home Condition Report is not compulsory
My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)

Happy to clarify that you WILL NOT require a HIP to be compiled for your property come 1st Jan 2008. The government recently removed the drop dead date of 1st Jan for pre 1st August marketed properties and thus far has NOT confirmed when this date will be. Many are (understandably) confused regarding the various dates as the legislation has been changed regularly (thanks RICS).

A Home Condition Report is an optional extra, very worthwhile and equally as good as a Home Buyers Survey. The energy performance certificate is the main mandatory part to the Home Information Pack.

    PM me for further info.
