Disneyland Paris (Travel from Edinburgh)

Options
Looking to take the wife and two kids to Disneyland Paris for a four night stay from 15th July.

We got offered a good deal direct from Disney, (4 nights for the price of 3) which came to £708 for the four of us.

Problem is, I have tried getting cheap flights from Edinburgh, however the cheapest I can get if with Air France which costs £820 which is more than the trip itself.

Anyone any suggestions for cheaper airfare?

Can you be flexible with your dates or does it have to be 15th July? In my experience, it will always cost more to fly on a Friday.

Would you contemplate driving to Newcastle airport? (Takes me about 2 3/4 hours to drive from Fife) You can fly with Easyjet for £370 to Charles De Gaulle. There is a shuttle bus from CDG to Disney which costs about £15 (ish) each way.
I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....

If Glasgow is not too far away for you to leave from, then you can fly with Ryanair to Beauvais. You have to then get a bus into Paris (13 Euros each, one way) and from there a bus or train out to Disneyland. It's a bit of a hassle, but could save you around £200.

The reason for Friday 15th is your getting a 4 nights for the price of 3 from Disney.

Don't forget to factor in the cost\ease in travelling from CDG or Beauvais.

This forum has loads of info but basically:

    CDG to DLP

Private shuttle Pick up at your terminal, drops you at hotel
    80\110 30-45 minutes

Disney shuttle Pick up at every terminal
    14 Adults
    11.5 kids 45-120 minutes.
Stops at most, not all Hotels.

    TGV From Terminal 2.
    65 4 adults and a child 10 mins
    DISCOVERY CHILD PLUS fare
Bus 54 from Station to hotel

RER 15 Adult 9 kids 120 minutes with a change at

Gare DU Nord or Chatelet Les Halles. Involves stairs
    and commuters...
Bus 54 from station to hotel

    Beauvais
    Shuttle\RER 6 120 mins

    Bus 13

    Have you looked at Eurostar?

Train goes to Station at DLP, only need to catch bus 54 to hotel.

    Have fun
