HELP..getting rid of horrid explicit emails!!!!

I need some help getting my name off a mailing or email list..
does anyone know of any web site or programes that sho you the places that you are signed upto and can get your name off them.
i got a nasty virus a while ago and it took a while to get rid of but now i keep getting emails from a yahoo account and the name changes for every email so the more i block that user a newone pops up.
this is starting to get me down now and i really would like some help or advice

Use a spam blocker (depends on how you get your email) or get another address. It's just spam, there won't be any official list to remove your address from. Blocking the sender, as you've found out, is pointless as more often than not the email isn't even sent from that address. In fact you're probably just blocking the addresses of people that have got nothing to do with spam."She is quite the oddball. Who is your email with? I found that with lycos i got loads and loads of spam (100's a week:eek: ) but with hotmail i get 1 a month if that.You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

I'm getting them too.
They are just going into my spam account now and the get automatically deleted after one week.

You can get spam if someone who has your email gets a worm or virus/malware that distributes email addresses to the hackers.
And if you have a common name/guessable email address then you will probably get it too.
In fact almost everyone gets some spam.0 -
If you are using one of the built-in email programs like Outlook or Outlook Express, I can recommend Spamihilator:

It's free. Download all the add-ons and it will filter out all the rubbish. Sometimes it takes a week or two to train using the Learning Filter, but it filters the majority as-is.0
