We have a flat, well presented on the market and it is cheaper than the other 3 for sale (which are over priced)
I want to make an offer on a property tomorrow which has no chain, is empty and is owned by a university, so one would hope more accomodating.
Is it possible to have an offer accepted if I have mine on the market?
help - getting paniced!

Possible, but very unlikely. Even if they do accept your offer, I doubt it they'll take it off the market until you have a complete chain behind you. Good luck!0

We did it.

fingers crossed. the proposed property needs a shed load of work, and i mean work to modernise it and it is on the edge of a railway line with convenants against further building.0

A savvy vendor will say no. A university will have someone that deals with their property. You can almost guarantee they will say no. In need of modernisation and you are also fairly sure that you will have competition with real money to spend
I wish you luck, but don't hold out much hope without an offer of your own.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

if i can get 2 week grace it woujld be good. mine is up 3k over the guide price but cheaper than others and better. i may ask the agent to market it for a fixed price with stamp duty paid.0

You msut compare the price to your area in general, not just your block. People out looking will be looking in the area. If you look overpriced compared to the rest of town, you look overpriced regardless of your neighbours.
I know people who are there right now. A woman who open admits she was had, got excited and paid well over the odds for the area. They can only see that they are well priced against her house, not looking at the area where you can get an extra bed for the same priceEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

put an offer in which the agent thought reasonable. however because of the owner being a charity type set up, they want to market it for at least a week, so they will contact me next week. more time to get viewers round.0
