PS3 from littlewoods...still waiting!

On Aug 18th I ordered a ps3 for my partners birthday (26th Aug) from Littlewoods would never spend that much normally but our son was 6 in July and as they are both keen 'gamers?' and I had a 20% discount code deciding to treat them both (and shut them up lol) the delivery date was by the 31st Aug then after checking the order online I saw it had been changed to the 1st Sept,(a Sat) then it changed to 2nd (Sunday) and so on and so on and I still haven't recieved it, yesterday phoned and was told it would be with me by the 5th October then on checking today have been told it will be here on the 12th October, I have phoned the helpline so many times now and each time have been told something different. I have been told by them head office have not got a phone number,then while talking to somebody else have been given a 'head office' telephone number only to phone it and find its just the order line call centre. On on occasion I have even been given MY OWN landline phone number to call. They say it is a delay with the supplier then while taking to someone else been told it is the company sony who make ps3 causing the delay. I have even called playstation and been told it is nothing to do with them. Littlewoods have offered to cancel the order but I now have not got the cash to go and buy one from the high street.:mad:

What was the price you paid in the end ? and have they taken the money ?.

hi the price was £449 before the 20% off so will be about 88 discount I have to phone them once the item is delivered to get the discount taken off (no doubt I will have trouble doing this when the time comes) The £449 has gone onto my account as 'item pending' so I am not yet paying for it but it does reduce my amount left to spend and my credit limit.

Hmm, thats is a pretty good discount.

I would personally cancel though. Why give them your hard earned cash when all they are doing is messing you about sending you from pillar to post, it's not worth it.

£425 is the cheapest i've seen around though as a bundle and just over £400 on it's own.

I'll have a look out for a better deal, but I would definatley cancel the order with Littlewoods.

I wouldn't be at all surprised that they are giving you the run around and don't want to honour that discounted price

Cheapest so far is £399 @ amazon.co.uk including an extra controllor , HDMI cable & 2 games .

The deal on Amazon includes 2 games.

If you paid on credit card or debit card you will still get a refund ?.

But if you don't want to cancel , then there is nothing you/we can do. You just have to wait, but it's terrible service I wouldn't stand for.

phone them again and don't get off the phone until you get a definate date of delivery. Get the name of the person who you talk to. then you have good grounds to complain if delivery is not on date guaranteed. thats what i would have done. And thats what i would do if i was you.

I have just phoned them again and for the first time in goodness knows how many hours of telephone times have been told that yes they have got a complaints department and I will get a call back in the next 3 hours(tried putting me throught but no answer) not that I am counting on it! Got the name of who I spoke to,lets see what happens...

PS3 from littlewoods...still waiting!
