Very cheap ps2 imports!! but are they fakes??

I have purchased this link, which is currently selling all over ebay at the moment. A website that sells really cheap import games. They claim to be real imports, not backups and no manuals included. The site is professionally designed so I ordered a few copies. The site is uk based but the package was imported from thailand. The covers and and disc looked professionally printed and all sealed up. However the playstation logo is missing. Are these actually real or fakes?
When I actually ask them they claimed to be real imports and legal.

If they are fakes, is this legal? should this website be shut down?

They have a refund policy so if you believe them to be fakes why not return them?

Well, the site says that the games will only play on chipped boxes, I think that probably suggests they are copies.

As for the PS logo, I think that is another real giveaway, real games carry the real logo.

I think it is very difficult to get these sites shut down, they tend to just run out of business when people stop buying or when too many of their packages get stopped at customs.

You can try reporting them to HM Customs and Excise, but it all honesty I don't know if it will do any good.

A quick check on the web is likely to confirm the obvious, i.e, you'll most likely get a very well produced pirated "silver back" (not official black back) copy, without instructions, and no cusomer service should you find your game (available locally for less than £1) turns out to be a dud. ;)

    Definitely, 100% pirated/fakes.

No it's not legal and they should be shut down. But they've been around for a while now.

Hello, I purchased myself believing to be real...they are not they're 100% copies and I have no idea how they're getting away with it for this long! They also do not refund if you send the item back as I have found.

    Guys, please report them here:

    http://www.elspa.com/piracy/report.asp

Not only are they selling pirated goods, they are also selling them as "Imports", fooling people into thinking that they are originals.

The more reports they get, the more likely they are to do something about it.

Your should also report them to your local Trading Standards:

from the uk but from thailand. My ps2 is not chiped yet so
i'll know then r the inports or copies.they probably are because
there is no word on the cover or cd saying Playstation 2 i got
Gran Turismo 4 and dose not look anything like it in the shop
I think its very well copied and not using a computer rewriter.
i have very good pictures of the cover and cd if you want to see for your self
