My post here, obtained from OfCOM's website indicated that 0870/0845 calls are potentially misleading when described as 'national' and 'local' rate.

The question is how long before all these companies have to stop advertising these type of calls as national and/or local?

There is now a ASA precedent in the case of Langley Minature Models see sites on original posting above(LMM now use a normal no in there advertising). So if you see anyone doing it, complain to the ASA.

Will the ASA only investigate 0870 numbers advertised as 'national rate' as a lot of companies operate 0870 without any indicatation at all of the costs involved which one could say is more misleading because without a cost per minute indication one could say they thought it was a just an ordinary call (geographical)!?!?

If you read the links in the original posting the ASA say that (the advertiser should not be silent on price).
