Also, the Derbyshire Bond does not show up on moneyfacts best buy anymore. Have they withdrawn it?

nope not withdrawn. http://www.thederbyshire.co.uk/savings/longer_term/1_year_fixed_rate_bond.aspx?ekmensel=2152299f_175_197_3345_1
reason it doesnt show up on moneyfacts as a best buy anymore is simple fact that its not a best buy anymore.

The Derbyshire Building Society 1Year Fixed Rate Bond (Issue 152) @ 6.85% is a best buy. Moneyfacts emailed me about it yesterday 7/9/07. It was the highest paying of the 3 fixed rate bonds on their list.0 -
I've just checked again the email that I received from Moneyfacts yesterday afternoon & the 3 fixed rate accounts on their list are:-
Derbyshire B.S. 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond @ 6.85%
West Bromwich B.S. E Bond 11 @ 6.75%
Northern Rock Fixed Rate Bond 292 @ 6.71%0 -
Derbyshire may still be in the top 3 - Anglo Irish are at 6.90%, West Brom at 6.86% (still flagged as the E11, but AER is 6.84%...?) - no doubt we'll have a 6.92% and 6.91% sometime next week, possibly just after MF have sent out their email...
