Possible Tax Credits Repayments by Government

Apparantly, the government broke the law with recovering overpaid tax credits from some people, and approx £500 million needs to be given back to the families involved:

hiIm not that clued up with all this tax credit business, when they send out there payment schedules to me there is always a part where they say we have been overpaid every single year but it never tells me how much out of the assement of weekly payments is to be deducted etc and how much is actually owedSo with this news about 'Families in line for £500m refund over tax credits fiasco' What will this actually mean to all of us who had been overpaid especially when it first started and had to pay this back either in full or each week out of their tax credits assesment paymentsDo WE have to do any thing?? Or is it a case or wait and see if we are entitled to recieve what money we have paid to pay them back????I really dont understand any of it!!!!!!0

Funnily enough, I had a letter from the TC this morning stating that they my award has been pulled for 2004/05 & 2005/06 as they have made a mistake and they will sort it ASAP.
