Xmas hamper idea for nightmare Sister & BIL....

They;re not really a nightmare but they are incredibly hard to buy for!!

They are both in their early 30's, childless and both have really good jobs. They're currently living in rented accomodation as they have sold their house to move to Canada early next year!

I'm at a complete loss as to what to get them and I think a hamper would be a nice idea but I don't have a clue what to put in it!

House stuff is pointless as they don't want to take too much stuff to Canada with them. Toiletries etc are out as they regularly buy their own and they buy much more expensive stuff than I could ever afford! I'm a single mum with a part time salary so the present should be more "thoughtful" than expensive!!

No point with family pictures etc as I did that for sister's 30th last year!

They are both very keen scuba divers but how does this fit with a hamper idea?!

Please help because otherwise they're just going to get an empty box!!!!:rotfl:

Thanks!

Add a nice photo album to go with it.

Have a look at thebookpeople.co.uk and see if they have any books on scuba diving, nature, foreign countries, travel guides that they might like.

They have a sale on at the moment and you could get stuff that should have been about £70 or more for about £10 (set of ten books) etc.

I'd do a load of home made cakes, biscuits, sweets and so on... and then include a little note book with the recipies in for all of it for them to take with them to Canada :)

what about a fly to Canada box..

fav sweets for the flight, passport covers (£3 each with studio and a free tin of roses at the moment) inflatable neck pillow..matalan had some a couple of weeks ago in the sale for £2 each.

As Canada is cold most of the time, can you knit? what about a nice warm scarf each, always nice to have something handmade, hand warmer sachets cheap from camping shops. 'Goodbye will miss you homemade DVD' for them to watch.
