Someone please help.
I have recently bought a new (2nd hand pc) Dell, my old pc, Hewlett Packard I have sold to a freind.
Before selling the pc, I reinstalled windows xp, (using my dell windows xp disc), however since doing this the sound drivers on the HP pc have now failed. The HP came with four installation cd's but they now wont boot up, (hence using the dell xp installation disc), however in the past when I've reinstalled windows, I've managed to get the audio working by putting one of the four hp discs in and searching for relavent drivers.
This time it won't work.
Does anyone know if theres a way I can download the relavent drivers/programmes so that the pc will work as it should and I can save face with my friend.
Everything was working fine before I reinstalled windows.

it might also be worth going to Windows Update and clicking on Custom, then looking for updated drivers under the hardware section...may cure the problemEx forum ambassador
