Problem with CD player on Citroen Picasso
Assume this is the correct forum or should this go on techie stuff?
I have a 2005 Citroen Xsara Picasso, the CD player plays fine initially but about half anf hour into a CD starts to jump and I cannot then eject the CD, pressing eject causes the CD to go back to the beginning. I am eventually able to eject but only after several goes/days.
I have tried a CD cleaner to no avail. I was told by Halfords that they cannot fit replacement CD players for Picassos due ot the electrics involved and only Citroen can do this.
My questions are is this true only Citroen can do it?
Is my CD player repairable or is it better to just go for a new unit?
What are the likely costs?
Thanks.

I suggest you ask an in car audio specialist rather than a bike shop.
Try www.mesf.org.uk and www.mmsa.org.uk and look for a specialist near you.0
