Getting rid of my car

It is time to part with my car! :( I have had it for 8 years and it has been nothign but trouble for the past 2 years. Driving back to Manchester it overheated and the RAC man told me it has melted parts of the engine. I would like to try and get as much money for it as I can.
Does anybody have any advice on the next step? It is currenttly sitting on my drive unable to move!

It depends on what it would be worth with another engine fitted in it.
Otherwise, breaking it for bits or selling it to someone for spares or repairs.

You could always try eBay and make it clear its the buyers responsibility to collect the car from your drive.
Alternativly a local scrappy might take it off your hands and give you something for it.

Thanks so much for all your advice. I think I am going to try and contact someone about selling ti for parts and see what I can get for it. Any more advice gladly taken.

    What car is it?

You'll probably get more money for breaking it than you would selling it for scrap.

It's peugeot 206, 1999 reg. Average condition apart from the melted engine.

It'd be worth advertising it as such; someone else might buy it and put another engine into it or transfer their bits from a crashed car etc.
