118 Clifton Street, Wednesday evenings 5pm to 7.30pm, bring your own containers to buy organic and eco friendly items at PAD (Peoples Autonomous Destination). This facility is run by volunteers for the benefit of the community, so don't expect shelves, tills etc!

brown flour 60p 1kg
white flour 90p 1kg
peanut butter £1 250g
sunflower seeds 12p 100g
sunflower oil £2 1 litre
sugar 70p 500g
mixed fruit £1 500g
salt 70p 1kg
soya beans 80p 1kg
sesame seeds 20p 100g

eco-friendly cleansing products-
washing powder £2.10 500g
multi-surface cleaner £1.30 1 litre

There are other items available as well. I am not a member of the group, but I bought some things last week and thought that this was a brilliant idea.
Don't for get your jars, bags, boxes if you go, and if you can round up your bill to make a small donation it will help with the p&p etc for their next order and with other events which they want to run.

Have to admit, went along yesterday with jars etc at the ready and there was no one there - waited until 5.35pm but no show. Next week I might email [EMAIL="PAD@riseup.com"]PAD@riseup.com[/EMAIL] on the Tuesday to double check

I went along last week for sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and porridge oats. The week before I bought 81% flour, soya beans, peanut butter, mixed dried fruit and sesame seeds. Someone is due to do another order this week so hopefully there will be more oil and other things next week.
