Wondered if anyone can help me excusing the lack of intelligence. I today have received my Ipod Shuffle which I purcahsed last week. However I am struggling to work out how to transfer my mp3s to the Ipod, any ideas????

If you haven't got Itunes, download it now, and Itunes should detect it, and I think you just copy and paste from there.

Apple used to have good video tutorials that explained just about everything.

They've changed them all round since I sat through them but hopefully they're still as good:

    Using Itunes
    Using Ipod

Or if you'd like a more portable and easier method.

Don't use iTunes at all :) (it sucks IMHO)

    Get Database Builder:
    About - http://shuffle-db.sourceforge.net/
    Download - http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=136446
    (You want "rebuild_db-1.0-rc1.zip")

    1) It's simple to use, download the above file.
    2) Unzip it
    3) There's a file called "rebuild_db.exe" in there. Right click on it, select "copy".
    4) Go to My Computer. Your Shuffle should be listed as one of the drives. Go into it, right click "paste".

To add songs just copy and paste them onto the Shuffle using Windows. You can name the songs as you wish and organise them in folders. When all the songs you want are there, double click on the "rebuild_db.exe" file. It'll update the Shuffle and away you go.

Great thing is you can plug it in anywhere, and that pc doesn't have to have iTunes installed on it, for you to update your Shuffle.
