in Credit cards
I have always take out card protection with CPP (Card Protection Plan), its not that expensive and if you loose your cards your protected until you report them lost.
However this year they have increased the annual fee from £19 to £29 with the reason given that they have added lots of new benefits, they have added benefits but not ones I especially want and certainly not for this much extra.
So, be warned, its easy to let them automatically renew without checking, I almost did.
PS does anyone know of a lower cost card protection scheme I can look into.
Thanks Tony

I suggest you phone them up and ask to switch to the Classic policy. Or cancel as the benefits are marginal.0 -

How about CPP?! According to their web site (click the top hyperlinks) the "classic" policy is still £20 whereas their CPP Plus is £29.

WOW, I can't belive they did this to me I even called them tonight to question the huge increase in price and told them I would probably cancel, they said nothing about two types of cover.
I don't know how they can justify changing me to a higher cover without telling me..0 -
PS my statement says its a household policy????? not classic or plus????.0

Both of their policies are household, they both cover up to 5 people living at the same address.0

Does any reader know if CPP covers you for disputed transactions when a PIN is used fraudulently with a Plastic Card in that period of time between reporting the card lost or stlolen and the loss or theft being reported?
Or how they view the same PIN being used for ALL your cards?0 -
OK just got of the phone from CPP and finally found out what's going on and it's a total rip off.
Basically they said they had about 6 levels of cover before and have now reduced this to just two, the classic policy @ £20 and Plus @ £29.
They said if you had anything but the lowest cover before then they automatically move you on the plus policy @ £29.
Take care if your with CPP and read your renewal very carefully!!!!!
The renewal says nothing about a price increase just loads of information on your new added benefits but nothing to says your paying more for these.

We will not pay more than £50 of any claim where your personal identification number (PIN) has been used.
I don't see how they would ever know if you did use the same pin on all your cards even if you did have to claim.

Is there an address I can write to to cancel our insurance?0
