Plenty of beaches to take them to.

If you want something to entertain the monsters all day and be good value then try Greenwood Forest Park http://www.greenwoodforestpark.co.uk/

It's £30.80 for a family of four. My two monsters aged 3 & 5 loved it even though it was geared more towards kids of your ages.

    Try this place http://www.gardenartdirect.co.uk/maze.asp.

I haven't been myself so can't advise but it looks good.

You may also like to try croquet at Llanfairfechan (great fun for all ages and not only for old ladies, they do morning sessions I believe for children for about £1. The dry ski run at Llandudno also has a toboggan ride, donuts ?? (sit in big rings and slide down the ski slope) and mini golf. There is also a tram to take you up the Orme (or down) and ski lifts up and down as well.
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves

Walk to the spectacular Aber Falls, about one hour easy walking each way. The first link says parking £2 but I was able to park for free in the village.

King Arthurs Labyrinth is quite good, my sister took her children last year

Also as someone mentioned, Greenwood Forest Park.

Could also try Welsh Mountain Zoo, near Conwy.

If you want a learning experience you could try the Centre for Alternative Technology

Highly recommend this place, they actually have quite a lot of animals there and once in there is only one little shop so you dont have to worry about spending money! Great day out with kids highly recommended too! Not too sure whether yours are alittle old for this one though'?

North wales has so much going for it

Try LLanberis pass for secnery also the slate mine musem FOC and the boat trip will cost about £8.00 in totall around the lake.

Angelsy has a good model village thats very cheap, Carnarfon is very pretty And Bangor isnt far

If you have Bikes with you there is a very nice bike ride between the two.

If you like boats try Felinhelli between the two where you can go and spend £50,000,000 on some.

When we were there last We went to Llanenddwyn beach ( below Porthmadog) My kids were playing hppily with some for ages as w chated to the parents it was about an houe and half latr that i relised he was Bryn Terfyl.

Crab fishing of the peir by Beaumaris is good fun as well My kids loved it

there is a little stall that sells the kit along with bait for under £5.00

Try Bethgelrt for the history and a very sad statute of a dog.

if nothing else go for walks

As someone mentioned there ase loads of nice beaches in Northwales. Newborough Forest is a nice sheltered one & Benllech is good too. Both of these are on Anglesey. Also on Anglesey is Beaumaris Castle & the Sea Zoo. If the weather is not so good you have the Sun centre at Rhyl or the Nova centre in Prestatyn. LLandudno is great for a day out. You can go on the beach or use the free outdoor swimming pool & there is a great farm that isn't too expensive.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo is ok but doesn't have a lot of the big animals you would expect to find in a zoo.

Dont forget you have loggerheads up near ruthin, this in the summer hols can have activites on.

Then you have moel famau etc,

Why not a day out in bala, but then again 11 & 13 year olds want to be doing stuff.

I know your on a tight budget, how push it out for a day out to somewhere like camelot, or alton towers?

Tell then your off to a museum somewhere and suprise then with it.
