Always cut your cards up into tiny peices if you dont want to spend on them.

Never trust the bank to cancel anything, always do it yourself.

Sorry I cant be of any help.

Again ... people trying to find ways to get out of what they have borrowed,

You borrowed it, you spent it, you pay it back.

Don't be grumpy, do what I did and buy shares in the bank, they are coining it in from these idiots, and I get a nice profit :j

IMHO you should also take responsibilty for your actions. You could have cut the card up, or closed the account too.

I personally dont think there is alot you can do.. or what you are trying to ask help in doing, the bank havent held a gun against your head and said "spend, spend, spend!"

You need to firstly cancel the credit cards yourself, dont cut them up as they are still active and when you need to replace them you just ring up.. go to your nearest hsbc and cancel them completely. Next thing to do is post on the 'Debt free wannabe board', Ive noticed you've got £31k in debt, you need to explain all this properly on there and what you actually spend your money on and there are some great people on there who will really help and maybe not give soo many sarcastic comments.
