Travel insurance - UK train journeys/UK holidays covered?

I notice that on Thetrainline.com you are automatically offered the option to purchase insurance - would an annual multi-trip worldwide policy such as those offered through Moneysupermarket (Flexicover, TMSM and Columbus Direct) cover you for UK train journeys (for example, cancellation due to illness etc) as United Kingdom is listed as one of the countries covered?

Clearly UK train fares are quite expensive (more than some flights) and therefore this could be a consideration when buying the policy.

Many thanks

Yes, if your holiday is at least 150 miles from your home.

You will have to check the individual policy document.

My own policy says that trips in the UK are covered only if they include at least 5 nights pre-booked paid accommodation.

I suspect they will all vary - you'll need to check each one.
