Good afternoon lovely DFWs
Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.
Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!

welcome sloth... you dont have to sign up to be a dfw... since you have posting id you can post anywhere on the site but most of us on the dfw board and stickers even those who are now debt free... to post on threads you just do the same as you did here ~ at the bottom of each thread is a post reply button click (takes you to a new page) that and then type your reply and hit submitif you want to start your own thread right at the top of the list of threads (main dfw page) there is a new topic button, click that then write out an meaage inc a title and click submit new thread
hope that helps, shout if you need any more help0 -
Thanks for that!! Not the best with IT...I think I'll start the weekly challenge with £10.00 to be on the safe side - don't want my impulsive spending streak to go into shock! Good Luck with yours...Slowly but Surely...0

I've decided since I'm going to be living at home for the next two years and then part-time for two years I'm gonna re-do my digs.
Plus I'm saving a fortune not living in uni accommodation so I thought I'd have a change. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
ohhh sounds nice gem... i just redone mine (well papered and new furniture) around a year ago... except the carpet as these houses (council) are due to be demolished. It does make living at home more pleasent0

I'm greeeen... :j £8.89 last week. This week I'll go for £15, think that's realistic as am on a normal full week at work.
Not spent/ spending anything today, too hungover to move...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I spent 80p this week on un-necessary stuff, so was well within my £5.00 budget. I could very easily have spent it all on chocolate, but managed to resist!
Will set it again at £5.00 for the week. Good luck to everyone else with their budgets xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi PaP - Unfortunately my temporary job has finished, so I'm going to have to think quite hard before I commit to a 'weekly spend' figure, since I'm likely to be running around the country, following up potential jobs, for the next week or so.
I WILL, however, continue to post my daily spends, whenever possible (when I can log on).
Today I spent £3.48 on a bottle of Dhilean Cabernet Sauvignon, at Tesco, as we have people around for dinner this evening.
Cheers PaP:beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
