Greetings, i took out a claim against Natwest through Money Online, i received my first correspondence informing me that the claim would be defended, given a week or so ive just received a second letter informing me that i do not have reasonable grounds for the claim and that they are going to move to have the claim squashed within 14 days should i not respond.
Could i ask what would be the best course of action at this point as i do want to fight the case. I can post details of there reasons for defending the claim if it would help,
Regards

Who was the letter from?0 -
The claim was quite straight forward and for around the £2000 mark, i mearly followed the steps on the Money Claim website, stating the reasons as being excessive bank charges.
The letter i received was from Cobbetts in Manchester.0 -
Please read this thread regarding letters from the solicitor....

If your Particulars of Claim only say "excessive bank charges" have a read of post 120 by Rex_Mundi in this thread and the court may well send you a similar letter to the one received from the solicitors in which case you will need to answer their letter....

In fact as Cobbets think they have reason to have your claim "struck out" do what Rex suggests in the above thread and send both your local court and the solicitor a copy and keep one for yourself.0 -
Excellent, thank you for your time, ill drop the letters in the post, my claim is currently being processed through Northampton, would i need to send a copy to them, my local court, the solicitors and myself?0

If your case has been transferred from Northampton to your local court then your local court will do but send to Northampton if not. As it could be being transfered at the moment, do a 4th one and have it in reserve incase you need to send to your local court.0
