Can Martin or anyone Help me on FIrst Direct Application?

Options
hi
i applied for a First Direct Bank account and got declined after 2 weeks. I was quite shocked to hear that, I Called the Customer services and ask for a reason. They told me that i dont fall into their Criteria. My application was not declined because my rating was low or i wasnt on electoral roll but it was because i dont earn enough points from each field i fil in during my application. I am earning 35k/year and currently living at the present address for 2 years. My questions are:

What criteria would they be talking about?

I'm looking to reapply as its been a year now, how would i fill in the fields to ensure i get acceptied this time??
Please give any thoiughts on that
Anyu help will be much appreciated

Each bank has its own criteria. They will score each answer you give on a form. They will never reveal exactly what these criteria are, as it could lead to application fraud. They are entititled to turn anyone down if they want to. Just because you have a high salary, it doesn't guarantee acceptance.

Did you say you were going to credit your salary to First Direct? And do you have any large overdrafts elsewhere? (Or, indeed, do you have any credit anywhere?)
