Moneyexpert and unsolicited calls - w'happen Martin??

Options
Hi all,

I love this site - spot on what Martin says about people power, and great to see somebody empowering the people to stand up against the greedy and corrupt.

However, I did a search for a loan today - sort of on a whim (after a lifetime of poverty, struggling and dealing with scum I am now very lucky to be relatively worry, and completely debt, free ), and...well here is the e-mail of complaint I sent (My 'x's):

Dear Sir,

After doing a quick search on your site, I was shocked and dismayed to find that someone from an unsolicited company had called me a few hours later.

I have no 'debts' and do not need a consolidation loan: I clicked that
rather than 'other' because I was looking for a loan to assist towards
XXXXXXXXX, but also looking to pay off a small XXXXXXX - I
do not need the services of a company that has the demeanour of an
outfit that gets most of its custom from bothering the desperate poor
on daytime television! I would rather wait and save.

I was also perturbed to find that, when my daughter realised I was outand told the caller so, he practically accused her of being a liar! I
guessed straight away what had happened and when I went to e-mail you I saw that I had an e-mail from xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx (Consolidators of debt).

I am 'ex-directory', and this incident has caused my family and myself stress.

Please remove me from your records, and inform any companies to whom you have sold my details to do the same.

I am a busy professional who values his 'quiet time'; hence my number being ex-directory. I have not had a sales call in over three years: I trust that I will receive no more calls of this nature. I have kept a record of this correspondence.

Regards,

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I thought this kind of thing was what Martin was against, and I am sure that he would disapprove?

This comes on the back of me being relentlessly pursued, completely erroneously, for a debt for someone with my name, so I am full of righteous indignation! (By the way, while I am here, not sure that is completely over yet - I have been assured so five times and then had a scum-a-gram again. I will probably be seeking advice about them soon: they are mentioned in at leat one thread I know of).

Keep on keeping on :money:,

Bandini.

Doesn't sound good at all. But I'm slightly confused with the connection to me and this site?

The issue was via moneyexpert not moneysavingexpert? Please let me know if i'm missing something

    Martin

Cheers Martin - sorry about the double post: I realised I had posted in the wrong thread and changed it. Please disregard the e-mail. Once again apologies.

It is Moneyexpert - I was just surprised that you don't mention the way 'moneyexpert' works: perhaps a warning next to the link would be in order?

I know how passionate you are about dealing with the unscrupulous, and I am sure that it is an oversight?

I have had a few catty comments already, and I fully expect to get plagued by nasty comments from other admirers of yours - but I am an admirer to!

Thanks for your time, and keep up the excellent work.

If you posted the original in error, why not just edit it to say 'oops, I made a mistake' or something instead of leaving that load of old sphericals there?

    You're weird!

Ha! Well as I have a life outside posting thousands of comments on the forums of money site, that course of action didn't spring to mind as easily as it would for one such as you. Enjoy normailty:rotfl:

“Normality highly values its normal man. It educates children to lose themselves and to become absurd, and thus to be normal. Normal men have killed perhaps 100, 000 of their fellow normal men in the last fifty years.”
