M & S Card Watch Out For Wrong Interest!

I signed up for a 3.9% for life M & S card last September, for balances transferred within the first 6 months.
When the six months were up the interest being charged changed to 17.9%!!

I have contacted them. At first they tried to fob me off saying that the offer had ended, but I still have the letter when I took out the card detailing the offer, so after quite a bit of arguing and insisting that I speak to a supervisor they are going to revise it, but how long will it take?......well they don't work as quickly on this kind of issue as I bet they do on getting letters out to customers who have missed payments lol!

Anyhow...worth keeping an eye on if you have one of these cards

    Invoice them for your time.

£25 per hour to resolve it.

I'm serious! You will get paid if you pursue it.

That's bad. I have a month to go before my 6 mth/3.9 LOB deal is up on my M&S card, so this week I have transferred my M&S current balance to another credit card to avoid it jumping up to 17.9% in another 6 mths time. (I took it out in January and used it for 0% purchases) and then I will transfer it back again to M&S to take advantage of the 3.9% before it expires in July. I shall keep a look out in case they try and do the same to me.

Are you stating that the balance transfer you did for life has gone from 3.9% to 17.9% or you stating that the new offer for balance transfers is 17.9%?

The balance transfer for life at 3.9% changed to 17.9%.

But the latest is that they have refunded the overcharge and dropped the rate back down to 3.9%.
