Problems with buyer of Boots items

Options
I've just had someone who bought 2 lipstick bags from me on ebay complain that they are "from last autumn and the contents have gone off by now":confused:

I have offered a refund (albeit rather grudgingly) I feel I have done nothing wrong as Boots were selling them until last week (when I bought them!) and my description was accurate.

I'd like to point out that it was Ebay and I am not Harvey Nicks!

What makes me more annoyed is he won 4 items from me and paid full postage so I refunded the extra, then when I posted them they were cheaper than expected so I refunded even more:mad:

    Tell them to get stuffed.

For every 99 customers I deal with I get 1 complete idiot.

Like yourself I describe what I sell very accurately.

My most recent idiot complained that a console game I sold him 'doesn't appear to be new' even though it was still sealed with the manufacturers' logo intact......

I used to be more diplomatic with the idiots on ebay - but I've learnt to tell them where to go unless they really have got a legitimate complaint to make.

    Happy Days!

    UPDATE!

in my reply I explained I bought them last week from .com and as Boots were selling them until last week when they sold out I didn't see a problem. But if they were not happy they should return them for a refund.
Got an email back to say they are happy now and will keep the bags and have left me glowing feedback!

A similar thing has happened to me before, some people are just odd. Maybe he wanted to return it so he could buy one on boots.com himself, only he's changed his mind now he realises they're sold out?

BTW I didn't realise they had sold out - that's good news for me as I am selling a couple at the mo as well. :D

May I ask if you put your P&P on buy-it-now or on auction?

I sold one last week for £23, but I can see that there are a few going for only around £15 at the moment with just a few minutes before auction end.

I got another today and really don't know if I should ebay it or just use it myself!

Hi, I think this Boots/Ebay thread is a great idea, I felt really guilty mentioning Ebay on the Grabbit thread as I know it was annoying some folk.

Anyway, just back my holidays today to 3 P&P sitting on my kitchen table (should have been here last thurs, didn't show up on time, got 1000 extra points for my inconvienience!) So what should I do with them? Had a quick look and the prices really seemed to have dropped. Should I hold on to them and hope demand picks up or sell now and get whatever I can?

Any help most appreciated, I am totally out of the whole P&P loop, they don't do No 7 at centre parcs!

    Hi All

Nice to meet you all over here and yes no moaning about ebay talk.

I sold my last P&P today it was the fist time I sold it on auction style it only sold for £19.99 my starting bid that will teach me I should have stuck to BIN.

I'm not going to buy anymore now as it has been gone quiet.

I've made £280 -£300 so I'm very happy about that. Also all the extra promotional code points from Boots.com :D

    CrepeSuzette xx
